August 9, 2011 - New York, NY – Manhattan Media, LLC, sponsors of various Events and Award programs and publishers of community newspapers including Our Town, West Side Spirit, Westsider, and Chelsea Clinton News, as well as political newspapers, City Hall and The Capitol and the lifestyle magazines AVENUE, New York Family and cultural newspaper CityArts in the metropolitan New York area and the newly acquired Dan’s Papers on Long Island, are in the process of moving all of their business operations to software systems provided by Vision Data.
The installation includes of 20 Vision Total Advertising and 4 Vision Total AP/GL users. Also included will be a complete Vision Circulation Management System, integrated Retail Ad Layout/Classified Pagination system and the Vision Web Suite for transient and commercial customers, as well as the Vision browser Sales Account Management/Order Entry system.
Manhattan Media has also purchased a new SUN Sparc Enterprise M 3000 server to house the customer information that will be managed on their fully-integrated Vision Data systems. The Vision Total Advertising System combines the traditionally separate Classified Advertising/Display Ad Billing into a single system with a single entry screen and Accounts Receivable functions of multiple newspapers, including Electronic Tearsheets, into a single system on a relational SQL database. Having one shared database will allow Manhattan Media to easily up-sell and cross-sell the products and services in single or multiple publications.
