Metro Group Inc. selects Vision Data Total Advertising system and VisionWeb Suite, after extensive search.

November 10, 2009 - CHEEKTOWAGA, NEW YORK– Bernard Bradpiece, President of Metro Group Inc., today announced the purchase of their new Vision Total Advertising display and classified advertising sales and sales management systems from Vision Data of Rensselaer, NY for their group of nearly 30 publications in the suburban Buffalo (NY) area.

The Metro Group Inc. will be installing a new 40-user Vision Total Advertising system – a complete integrated advertising sales and billing system that runs on a compliant relational database. Ad orders for display or classified ads will be entered into the system, which generates sales data, calculates commissions, creates layout instructions, interfaces directly with pagination, and produces the industry’s most flexible and comprehensive reporting. The system will also automatically fax or email items like invoices, customer notices, sales pieces, and proofs of classified ads. The system’s single rating engine will handle all rates for both print and web, including complex cross-selling and package rates.

According to Metro Group Inc.'s President Bernard Bradpiece, “We chose Vision Data over other vendors for many reasons, but foremost among them was the fact that Vision Data had a much better understanding of rating and our very complex rate structure. We are confident that the Vision Total Advertising system and the programmers at Vision Data are fully capable of creating a rating system that accurately and invisibly handles our rates in a simple user-friendly manner.”

The VisionWeb Home Order Entry module features a customer-friendly on-line screen that allows an individual to place print or web ads, using photos (multi photos for web ads), borders, attention-getters in addition to text. The Metro Group Inc. will have the option to offer a menu of packages, designed to maximize ad effectiveness. Transient customers can pay for their ad via a secure credit card connection. Business or commercial customers can establish a log-in and password to place ads which automatically default, pricing-wise.

Installation will start immediately and the system is scheduled to be ready to go live by the end of March, 2010.
