POSITION TITLE: Software Applications Developer
Vision Data Equipment Corporation, Rensselaer, NY, seeks a Software Applications Developer responsible for creating data conversion programs to migrate data from a source system to a target system. The candidate for this role will:
- Gather data files;
- Perform data analysis;
- Design and create programs based on data obtained using Java programming, Unix and MYSQL data base;
- Train Newspaper clients and handle any change requests and data migration process;
- Handle database creation and maintain consistency between the database and server-side programs;
- Implement new features and enhancements to circulation application;
- Support and solve user problems; and
- Develop web services project to bridge between circulation and web application
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in a time sensitive manner; and
- Design, development, testing and enhancement of data applications
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information System, Information Technology or related field. The successful candidate must have six months of experience to include:
- Java
- MYSQL
