The Brunswick News Chooses Vision Data.

June 20, 2014 - RENSSELAER, NEW YORK – The Brunswick News, a premier family owned newspaper headquartered in Brunswick, GA, and owned by the Leavy family, has chosen to partner with Vision Data for a soup to nuts advertising solution. Vision’s suite of applications will provide advertising management, sales management, pagination, layout, ad tracking and self service functionality. The Vision Total Advertising application will be hosted by Vision utilizing Infrastructure as a Service, replacing their current self-hosted system. Vision Total Advertising provides many built-in efficiencies and revenue-enhancing features that will facilitate new growth and streamlined production. Not only will the paper be able to increase revenues with cross-selling opportunities, features such as Electronic Tearsheets, E-Statements and E-Classified Re-solicitation will save postage and print costs while increasing customer service. Additionally the VisionWeb Classified and Commercial Account Management application will provide enhanced 24/7 self-service opportunities for advertisers to place new ads, rerun ads, view statements and tearsheets and pay their bills on line, increasing cash flow while lowering staff overhead.

VisionWeb – Sales/CRM adds even more revenue opportunities with immediate ad placement and account access via browser tools for outside sales staff. Vision Web – Sales/CRM also provides a low cost, low overhead in-house solution for their Islander publication to handle walk-in advertising business. It works hand in hand with Vision Ad Tracking, which rounds out the ad process. Reps and advertisers will have instant information and proofing capability throughout the ad creation process.

Vision Total Layout provides the final automated output design with an InDesign plug in for professional layout and classified pagination.

Infrastructure as a Service is an excellent option for newspapers that do not want to purchase and support their own servers but still want to keep their monthly costs lower than a software rental solution.

According to Thomas A. Dempsey, President of Vision Data, “Our ability to provide customers with various server options including IaaS, Software as a Service (SaaS) and self hosted, open the door for newspapers of all sizes to choose the best cost scenario for their needs. We are pleased to add The Brunswick News to our family of customers and look forward to growing our relationship with them even further in the future.”
