December 12, 2013 - Clovis, New Mexico - The Clovis News Journal and its sister papers in Portales and Tucumcari, NM are currently training for the installation of their new Vision Data Total Advertising system. The package also includes VisionWeb’s self-service ad placement module that enables customers to directly place and pay for their own print or web ads from their own computer. It also includes the VisionWeb remote account manager which allows a rep to access all necessary account information, submit copy and place ad orders from the field via browser. Also included is the Vision Classified Pagination/Retail Layout facility to streamline print production.

These will work in conjunction with their Circulation Management System purchased 2 years ago from Vision Data, Rensselaer, New York. Both systems, configured on an IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) installation will be hosted by Vision Data on their servers in NY, but operated from the newspaper offices in New Mexico.

According to Teresa McKennon, Business Manager of Clovis Media, Inc., the decision to move to the Vision Data Total Advertising system for billing, accounts receivable management and advertising sales management was based on their strong belief that “Vision Data’s program is the most complete, yet most user friendly program we have seen.” McKennon further commented that “Our own experience with Vision Data and Vision Data’s reputation for dependability and good customer service also played a part in our decision.”

Ads will be entered directly into the Total Advertising system in the sales department or remotely from the field by reps. Once entered, the ad orders will directly interface to the Vision pagination/layout system for page layout, be available for direct posting in bookkeeping, eliminating the need for re-keying, and will provide the basis for ad tracking and a broad spectrum of sales and sales management reports, including sales commissions.
